TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain large-scale enterprise systems that power core business operations. You will help deliver secure, high-availability software and APIs, and contribute to moving from monoliths to microservices in a cloud-first environment.

The role emphasizes building a reliable digital backbone across distributed systems, with collaboration across teams to ensure secure data handling and real-time processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Programming experience in at least one of C, C++, Java, Python, C# or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure enterprise applications
• Develop and maintain high-performance APIs (REST, GraphQL) and middleware to connect disparate internal and third-party systems.
• Optimize complex SQL/NoSQL queries and manage data persistence layers for high-volume transactional data.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement caching strategies, load balancing, and asynchronous processing to ensure system reliability.
• Assist in the strategic migration of monolithic legacy systems toward microservices or cloud-native architectures.
