TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to strengthen backend services and internal platform components, focusing on reliability and performance. In this role, you will contribute to AI-driven products and self-service capabilities, building APIs and scalable data infrastructure.

You will collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to reduce manual work, improve data accessibility, and drive reliable, scalable solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 3+ years building and maintaining backend systems/services in production.
• Backend Proficiency: Python, Go, Java, or Node.js with API/service experience.
• Data & Infrastructure: Databases, caching, messaging, and cloud-native infra.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and internal platform components with focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Develop backend capabilities for AI-powered products, including data services, workflow orchestration, model integration, and intelligent automation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data stakeholders to deliver reusable APIs, backend components, and self-service tools that reduce manual work.
• Apply best practices in service architecture, API design, observability, testing, and operations.
• Collaborate with software/fullstack engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into practical backend solutions.
