Requirements

• One of the following qualifications, completed within the past 3 years or expected within the next 12 months: Master's degree with 0 years of work experience; Bachelor's degree with 2 years of work experience; educational or workforce development program (e.g., Associate’s, Apprenticeship, Boot camp, or Certification) with 3 years of work experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of work experience
• Qualifying education and work experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in C or C++ systems programming
• Practical experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or POSIX-compliant operating systems
• Deep understanding of operating systems concepts, multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and low-level hardware-software interfaces
• Familiarity with software development workflows in Linux environments
• Familiarity with debugging tools such as GDB and Valgrind
• Familiarity with Git version control
• Preferred: low-level device drivers, kernel modules, BSPs, or bootloaders such as U-Boot and UEFI
• Preferred: networking principles, TCP/IP, OSI model, Ethernet, BGP, or OSPF
• Preferred: Python or Bash automation tooling and test frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Preferred: hardware bring-up, HIL validation, or lab instrumentation such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers
