Job summary

deciBel Research, Inc in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System team. You will develop and maintain software for the GFC Battle Manager, collaborating with engineers to implement math- and physics-based algorithms and test capabilities for the Missile Defense Agency.

The role requires a STEM degree, 5+ years experience (or MS with 2 years, or PhD with 1 year), strong MATLAB and Python skills, Ada/C++/Java

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of related experience, or higher degrees with less experience.
• Strong background in math and physics.
• Experience in Ada, C++, or Java.
• MATLAB and Python experience.
• Unix/Linux experience.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain GWS Fire Control Battle Manager software.
• Review requirements and test cases for the GFC software team.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional setting to implement new capabilities.
• Support in-person/closed-area work environments.
