Job summary

WR Systems seeks a Software Engineer to formulate and design software systems using analytical methods and mathematical models to predict outcomes. The role focuses on development, testing procedures, and documentation to ensure robust software solutions.

Candidates will work on data workflows, interfaces, and outputs while evaluating feasibility, costs, and time against hardware and program constraints. Strong programming skills in C, C++, C#, Python, and related tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience using C, C++, C#, Python, Visual Basic, ORM technologies, SQL, containerization technologies, and/or other OO languages.
• Experience with C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, Python, RHEL, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
• Proven software development experience in Unix, Windows, Linux, and/or MS-DOS environments.

SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Software Engineer to formulate and design software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure the outcomes and consequences of design.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflows, logical processes, hardware and operating system environments, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
• Analyzes and estimates feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
• Three (3)+ years of professional software development experience using one or more of the following: C, C++, C#, Python, Visual Basic, ORM technologies, SQL, containerization technologies, and/or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies: C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, Python, RHEL, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
• Demonstrated software development experience using one or more of these languages within Unix, Windows, Linux, and/or MS-DOS operating environments.

Position Salary Range: $78,000 - $113,000. The listed salary range represents the typical range for this position. WR bases the offered salary on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, knowledge, and skills, scope and responsibilities of the position, and market and business considerations.
