Job summary

Tive is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the United States to mentor a team of full stack engineers while contributing as a strong individual contributor on a large-scale data processing and analytics system. You will help build a platform that delivers monitoring, analysis and predictions for shipments across the supply chain.

Ideal candidates have expertise in C# and Python, data modeling, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud-based DevOps in AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience with big data streaming platforms such as AWS Kinesis or Apache Kafka.
• Experience with multi-tier web application development.
• Experience with AWS hosting environments and DevOps.
• Superb abstraction and design skills.
• Understanding of data modeling and relational databases.
• Expertise with server side languages such as C# and Python.
• Expertise with databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, and MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a team of full stack software engineers.
• Contribute as an individual contributor to develop scalable data processing and analytics systems.
• Lead by example while developing software and tackling tasks.
• Coordinate efforts as the team builds a data processing and analytics platform.
• Foster strong relationships with remote peers across time zones.
