Realtor.com® in Austin, TX is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain features powering our real estate search experiences. You’ll work on scalable, cloud-based services used by professionals and consumers.

You’ll collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, and data teams to deliver robust solutions and optimize performance using AWS, Node.js, Python, TypeScript, and Java in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of development experience building scalable backend systems.
• Experience with Node.js, Python, Typescript, Java; Elasticsearch is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features for our search platform.
• Collaborate with Product Owners on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Develop high-quality, scalable backend systems.
• Design and operate search pipelines using AWS and data architectures.
• Work with technologies like AWS, Microservices, Docker, Elasticsearch, Jenkins, Node.js, and Python.
• Improve the development toolchain and automate deployment in an Agile/Scrum setting.
• Participate in process improvements to enhance delivery quality and predictability.
