Job summary

Amazon Leo Networking Software is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AI Foundations team. You will design and build production agentic systems on AWS that reason over satellite, ground, and network data to diagnose issues and improve availability.

You will work with principal engineers and operators, own services in production, and help shape the architecture and development practices across Leo.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years designing or architecting complex systems.
• 1+ year of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ year of distributed or multi-tiered software applications development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AI agents and services diagnosing network issues using telemetry and logs.
• Create reusable agent tools from existing engineering assets.
• Develop evaluation harnesses to measure agent accuracy, coverage, and latency.
• Own services in production: on-call, metrics, RCA, security reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to turn problems into shipped features.
• Provide clear design docs and participate in code reviews.
