Job summary

Amazon Leo AI Foundations in Redmond seeks a Software Development Engineer to build AI agents that diagnose network issues and improve reliability across the Leo satellite network. You will design scalable services, review code, and own features from inception to production, collaborating with engineers, operators, and PMs.

The role requires 5+ years of software development, ML/LLM fundamentals, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience as a mentor/tech lead.
• ML/LLM fundamentals including architecture and optimization.
• Experience leading design or architecture of complex systems.
• Strong coding and code-review skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AI agents diagnosing network issues from telemetry and logs.
• Turn tools and data sources into reusable agent capabilities.
• Build evaluation harnesses to measure agent accuracy, coverage, and latency.
• Own services in production: on-call, metrics, RCA, and security reviews.
• Collaborate with principal engineers, operators, and PMs to ship features.
• Write design docs and perform thoughtful code reviews.
