Job summary

Sonar is hiring a Software Engineer to build an AI-native code validation platform that automates the pull request lifecycle. You’ll combine static and dynamic analysis with large language models to catch bugs and generate validated fixes that pass CI.

You will design and ship systems at scale, owning correctness, latency, and security in a zero-trust environment, while collaborating with customers and the SonarQube team.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Solid fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and reasoning about correctness and performance.
• Hands-on experience with AI and LLM-driven development.
• Exposure to program analysis fundamentals: static/dynamic analysis, type systems, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build program analysis systems that reason about code across languages at scale.
• Combine static and dynamic analysis with large language models to detect bugs and issues.
• Build AI agents and orchestration layers for PR review, fixes, and CI validation.
• Develop indexing, retrieval, and embedding to give models the right context.
• Own production characteristics: correctness, latency, cost, observability, and security.
• Partner with SonarQube team to deepen integration between deterministic analysis and AI validation.
• Engage directly with customers to understand workflows and deliver what they need.
