Job summary

Akia seeks software engineers to join a tight, mission-driven team building an AI agent for hospitality. You will own features end to end—from schema to deployment—while shaping how the agent perceives the world and calls tools.

You’ll integrate with PMS platforms and iterate quickly on evals to measure progress. Expect real-world production work from day one, with on-call duties and a culture that treats prompting as craft.

Qualifications

• 3+ years writing production software with real ownership and shipped features.
• Strong TypeScript and full-stack comfort; React/Next.js on the frontend and PostgreSQL on the backend.
• Hands-on fluency with LLMs and agents; active use of Claude or ChatGPT for real work.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end: schema, API, UI, deploy, and ops.
• Shape the agentic loop: what the agent can see, tools it can call, and decision logic.
• Build integrations with property management systems (Mews, Cloudbeds, Hostaway, Guesty).
• Design evals to measure agent improvement and monitor performance in production.
• Be on call for what you build and maintain production quality.
