Job summary

Akina Inc. seeks a Software Engineer 2 to join the Fort Meade team. You will develop data transforms across diverse data types and work directly with analysts and operators on tools for hard CNE problems.

You will handle server framework development, support mission critical servers, and contribute to a robust software pipeline with Python, SQL, and React frontend. TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required, offering a strong compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python.
• Knowledge of dataframes (Pandas, Polars).
• Knowledge of SQL and database flavors (SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Understanding of Git and GitLab for source control.
• Familiar with TypeScript/JavaScript and React or another modern frontend framework.
• Be comfortable working directly with customers and receiving feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop data transforms for diverse data types (Text, JSON, Databases, XML, configs).
• Gather feature requests and understand project and customer needs.
• Dive into unknown data and help analysts ask the right questions.
• Work on tools to improve performance of applications and transforms.
• Manage and support mission critical servers and serve as a developer of server framework.
