Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems in a TS/SCI environment. The role focuses on Python, Linux, and Docker, with secure access controls and collaboration across teams to deliver high-performance solutions.

The candidate will work on analytics, data processing, and real-time systems, mentoring teammates and contributing to documentation and testing. This is an on-site position in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with associated SWE experience.
• 7+ years of SWE experience for senior level indicated.
• Experience with Python, Linux, and Docker in real projects.
• Proficient in Git, CI/CD, and Atlassian toolset.
• Familiarity with RBAC/HBAC, IAM, and secure access controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software systems.
• Lead software development teams per project needs.
• Implement access controls and secure resource permissions.
• Develop data processing analytics and real-time solutions.
• Create and review software/documentation and test procedures.
• Collaborate with system engineers to derive requirements and constraints.
• Coordinate software installation and monitor performance.
