Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a mid-level to senior software engineer in Minnesota to join a rapid development team. You will own full-stack work, craft robust Java/Spring Boot services, and ensure secure, scalable delivery in a regulated environment.

You will implement testable code, participate in CI/CD, and collaborate across teams to improve reliability, performance and compliance with U.S. Bank policies where applicable. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Two to three years of relevant experience.
Expert-level coding skills in Java and Spring Boot.
Knowledge of Shell Scripting, GitLab, SQL and Linux.
Functional testing experience with manual and automated tests.
DevOps in containers, cloud, automation, security, config management and CI/CD.
Modeling and architecture design knowledge.
Unit testing and CI-integrated test automation experience.
Agile software development (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Strong system and network architecture understanding.
Expertise in service virtualization and test data management.

Requirements

DevOps capabilities in containers, cloud, automation, security, configuration management and CI/CD

Experience with unit testing, automation, integration with CI systems and Agile Software Development (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
Strong understanding of system and network architecture
Ability to identify, resolve and retest defects
Expert skills in service virtualization, test case modeling and test data management tools and processes
Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week
