Job summary

SageCor Solutions is actively seeking a senior software engineer to support Maryland/DC area DoD programs. You will design and develop Java enterprise apps using Spring Boot and RESTful services, integrating with MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases.

Responsibilities include building scalable microservices, containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, and implementing CI/CD in an Agile setting, leveraging Git-based workflows and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; others require 4 years extra software engineering experience.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Experience developing Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience with Docker or Podman, Kubernetes, and modern deployment platforms.
• Experience with Agile development, Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.

Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph Required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Candidates without Bachelors degrees will require an additional 4 years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience developing Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot or similar modern frameworks.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar technologies.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker or Podman), Kubernetes, or other modern application deployment platforms.
• Experience working in Agile development environments using Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing Angular or other modern web applications.
• Experience with microservices architecture, application modernization, or cloud-native software development.
• Experience implementing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps best practices.
• Experience tuning SQL performance and supporting high-volume enterprise applications.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence to support Agile software development.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills across application, database, and deployment technologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise software within secure or classified environments.
