Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field and minimum of 5 years work experience in embedded Software Engineering OR equivalent experience
• Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multi-tasking RTOS
• Proficient in C, C++ and Python
• Knowledge of IBM Rational-DOORS
• Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
• Experience developing software requirement specifications and software documentation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel 10% CONUS and OCONUS
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance

The Challenge:

The Software Engineer will participate in a complete embedded software and/or Windows Mission Support Tool development lifecycle. In addition to design, code development, and test, the Software Engineer will ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted through participation in:

• Architecture and requirements reviews
• Peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications

Job Duties:

Minimum Education and Experience:

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multi-tasking real-time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks, Green Hills)
• Proficient in C, C++ and Python

• Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of EW Self-Protection Systems (e.g. RWR, LWS, MWS) and performance
• Systems or networking programming experience

• Knowledge of DO-178C
