Job summary

Terma Inc in Warner Robins, GA (also Atlanta) seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to embedded software development and Windows Mission Support Tool lifecycles. You will participate in architecture reviews, design, coding, testing, and deployment across the full software stack.

The role requires US citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD security clearance, strong C/C++, RTOS experience (VxWorks/Green Hills), and experience with DO-178C and IBM Rational-DOORS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or Engineering and 15 years’ work experience in Software Engineering OR equivalent experience.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multi-tasking real-time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks, Green Hills).
• Proficient in C, C++.
• Knowledge of IBM Rational-DOORS.
• Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems.
• Experience developing software requirement specifications and software documentation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 10% CONUS and OCONUS.

The Challenge:

The Senior Software Engineer will participate in complete embedded software development and Windows Mission Support Tool lifecycles. In addition to design, code development, and test, the Senior Software Engineer will ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted through participation in:

• Architecture and requirements reviews
• Peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications

• Knowledge of EW Self-Protection Systems (e.g. RWR, LWS, MWS) and performance

• Basic understanding of Software Security
• Knowledge of DO-178C
• Experience with development of avionics software
