SAIC is seeking a Software Developer for a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Ensure NASIS application is properly configured and documented to enable, sustain, and maintain interfaces with external commands and systems.
- Test and implement new technologies following standardized procedures.
- Review existing programs, make refinements, reduce operating time, and improve techniques.
- Test changes for usability prior to deployment.
- Research, analyze, design, develop, document, test, and deploy modifications.
- Implement policies to track server trends and monitor to prevent outages.
- Resolve technical/data exchange issues with scanning and document recognition software.
- Work as a team member on NASIS projects.
- Handle program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, mathematics, statistics, business, engineering, or physical sciences with at least 2 years of experience; 4 years of experience may substitute for degree.
Skills
- Experience in Java application development, Spring Frameworks, Visual Studio, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Development experience with Hibernate and SQL.
- Knowledge of Spring Framework, software development lifecycle, and Java applications.
- Experience with SCRUM Agile methodology.
- Proficiency in Java (Oracle Java 8), familiarity with Apache Tomcat, XML, JSP, REST, and EAI patterns.
- Experience with SQL Server and complex business requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of other integration tools is a plus.
Security Clearance
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Secret clearance before hire.
Desired Skills
- Web server management, GUI design, AJAX, REST architecture.
