As a Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of a new healthcare platform, designed specifically for clinical teams. From design to implementation, you will collaborate with our engineering, product, and design teams in an agile environment to turn ideas into reality. Utilizing modern methodologies and open source tools, you will be empowered to push development boundaries to deliver applications that directly impact our teams and patients.

Core Responsibilities

1. Contribute to all aspects of the SDLC process (SCRUM, Design, Code, Test, Deploy & Maintain)
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams
3. Participate in code reviews
4. Improve overall code quality and maintainability
5. Address technical debt and bugs
6. Implement SecDevOps best practices
7. Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience
• 3+ years experience building high-performance, low-latency distributed systems in the cloud
• Experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, OpenAPI
• Ability to write automated tests and passion for test-driven development
• Knowledge of threading and memory management in microservices
• Experience building resilient, scalable, and secure software
• Experience optimizing MongoDB performance
• Experience in distributed, event-driven, cloud-native environments (Azure/AWS) using Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture (preferred)
• Experience with event sourcing (preferred)
• US work authorization
