About The Role

At Boeing, we are seeking talented and motivated Real-Time Software Engineers to join our Precision Engagement Systems organization in St. Charles, MO. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, integration, testing, and deployment of complex software solutions for defense systems that have a global impact. As part of our team, you will work on mission-critical projects supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division, focusing on the operational flight programming (OFP) software for precision-guided weapons, including Direct Attack weapons and Cruise Missiles. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement real-time embedded applications, ensuring the highest standards of quality, performance, and security. This position is ideal for professionals eager to work on cutting-edge defense technology, engage with U.S. military clients, and develop their expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in engineering, computer science, or related fields, combined with relevant experience in software development. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. A minimum of three years of experience in programming with C, C++, or Ada, along with a solid understanding of real-time embedded software development, is essential. Experience working within an Agile environment, developing software using object-oriented principles, and familiarity with version control systems such as Git are highly desirable. Advanced knowledge of Ada, Python, or C# and experience in developing and tracing software requirements will be considered a plus. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work effectively in team settings, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop leadership skills by taking ownership of features and participating in team initiatives.
