Job summary

Solidus Technical Solutions, LLC seeks a Software Engineer for the Test Solution Engineering team in Tucson, AZ, onsite, supporting mission-critical missile systems. The role focuses on designing modern Windows applications and integrating C#, C++, and other languages in Visual Studio.

Requirements include an active Secret clearance, STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree), and proficiency in Windows OS, Visual Studio, and multiple programming languages.

Job description

This position requires onsite work in Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is seeking a dynamic Software Engineer to join the Test Solution Engineering (TSE) team, a cutting‑edge group at the heart of developing advanced test solutions for our entire missile portfolio. As part of our innovative software team, you'll design modern Windows applications, integrate state‑of‑the‑art technologies, and support engineering and production environments that power some of the most advanced weapon system products in the world. Day In The Life

• Design, develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C#, C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio in a Windows Operating System (OS)
• Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently
• Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation
• Work in a multidiscipline engineering team environment
• Develop and derive requirements for software products
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Active Secret clearance is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree
• Experience developing and integrating software applications using C, C#, C++ programming languages in a test environment, as well as Java, Python or Visual Basic
• Experience with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Visual Studio is required
• Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Familiar with computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques
• Working knowledge of the development of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfaces
• Working knowledge in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, or RS-422
• Familiarity with laboratory test instrumentation, electronics, and software (Ex. oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters)
• Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design
• Experience of software development lifecycles, such as Waterfall and Agile
• Experience with Software Configuration Management principles
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server or GitHub
• Good written and interpersonal communication skills
