Job summary

Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a Software Engineer to design, integrate/test and analyze data to assess C3 system performance. The role focuses on radar and sensor management, track filtering, and command of weapon systems.

You will apply C++ and Python, work within a team, and prepare analyses while meeting DoD security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM field with a minimum 2 years of professional experience.
• Experience in software development and engineering process.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Able to work independently and handle confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to apply C++ and/or Python as analytical tools for evaluation, modeling, simulation and/or prototyping.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the Secret level. U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate/test and conduct data analysis to assess system performance of the C3 systems.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate using systems engineering principles, algorithm development and data analysis.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure secure and effective implementation in DoD environments.

The Work

The Software Engineer will have the opportunity to design, integrate/test and conduct data analysis to assess system performance of the Command, Control and Communications (C3) systems. The C3 systems perform multiple critical functions such as radar and sensor management, track filtering, track management including correlation/association, control of multiple communication links, threat evaluation and prioritization, and command of weapon systems for target engagement or assignment. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of systems engineering principles, algorithm development, and data analysis to troubleshoot and evaluate.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a U. S. DoD security clearance.
