Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a software professional to develop and maintain full-stack applications for the Commercial Chiller organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: C#, Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with full-stack web development (SPA).
• Experience with Agile methodologies with remote teams.
• Experience developing for cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience building applications using relational databases.
• Understanding of Software Lifecycle (development, deployments, sunsets).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This person is responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of full-stack software for the Commercial Chiller organization to support business needs across engineering, design, data management, and sales. The heart of our suite is a performance prediction and bill of material optimization engine that is deployed internally and in commercial sales tools, but we also develop internal tools to support our colleagues. Success in this role requires partnering directly with engineering, product support, and IT teams to understand their diverse needs and implement solutions. This person will also assist in deploying analytics, AI services, and be integral in the ongoing modernization of our technology to deliver sustainable software.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical degree
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a software development environment, preferably software development for engineering use
• Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C#, Java, C++, Python
• Familiarity with full-stack web development, including SPA architecture
• Experience with software development and testing using Agile methodology with remote teams.
• Experience developing for Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience building applications using relational databases
• Experience with Software Lifecycle (development, deployments, sunsets).
