Job summary

The George E. Booth Co. in Greenwood, Indiana, is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to develop, deploy, and support internal business applications and AWS services.

You will work with existing applications, databases, deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure while following security, change control, and documentation standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining code with ASP.NET Core and APIs, using Visual Studio Code, and collaborating with teams on CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with ASP.NET Core and APIs.
• Experience with Visual Studio Code for development, source editing, and CLI workflows.
• Experience with Git and GitHub, including repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, and release workflows.
• Experience with relational databases and application driven database changes. Familiarity with MySQL, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic is beneficial.
• Ability to troubleshoot applications using logs, monitoring, and other diagnostic information.
• Experience with application deployment, rollback procedures, testing, and production support.
• Ability to create and maintain thorough technical documentation covering architecture, dependencies, deployment, rollback, troubleshooting, and support procedures.

The George E. Booth Co. is a family-owned and operated industrial automation sales company looking to hire their next full-time Software Engineer at our Greenwood, Indiana location.

The George E. Booth Co. is a major distributor of process instrumentation products, controls, and related services to customers in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. Founded in 1963, George E. Booth Sr. recognized that there would be a natural evolution in the development of products for the industrial instrumentation process field.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, deploying, documenting, and supporting internal business applications and their supporting AWS services. The role will work with existing applications, source repositories, databases, deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure while following IT security, change control, documentation, backup, and recovery standards.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Overnight travel is rarely expected for this position; travel to satellite sites during working hours or other office locations.
