Job summary

Apex Capital Corp in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain a proprietary client-facing system. Partial onsite work is required; you should reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and be able to work in a hybrid setting.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver scalable backend services and responsive frontends using Java, SQL, and modern frontend frameworks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and SQL.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Svelte/React/Angular/Vue).
• Git collaboration and CI/CD experience.
• Familiarity with Oracle DB, CockroachDB, Spring Boot, JBoss, JavaScript, containers, Linux, Rancher, Ansible, Bamboo.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; clean, maintainable code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; eager to learn and improve.

The Purpose of Your Role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join one of our product teams supporting a proprietary, client-facing system. This role plays a key part in designing, building, and maintaining the technology that provides value to our clients.

Partial onsite work will be required. For this reason, candidates should live in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.

As part of a dedicated product team, you’ll collaborate with product managers, business analysts, project managers, and other technical team members. What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications for a proprietary, client-facing platform.
• Develop and optimize backend services using Java and SQL to support secure, efficient data processing.
• Collaborate with product owners and operational departments to clarify requirements and deliver business-driven solutions.
• Contribute to frontend components using modern frameworks (e.g., Svelte, React, Angular, Vue, or similar).
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take initiative in a fast-paced Kanban environment and continuously enhance development practices.
• Mentor others and share best practices within the engineering team.
• Respond to application issues as they arise and resolve in a timely, considerate, and forward-thinking manner. Participate in on-call rotation.

What’s Required

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in full-stack or backend development.
• Proficient in Java and SQL.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework or library (Svelte, React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Experience with Git in a collaborative environment and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Oracle Database, CockroachDB, Spring Boot, JBoss, JavaScript, Containers, Linux, Rancher, Ansible, and Bamboo preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on clean, maintainable code.
• Passion for learning, automation, and continual improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
