Job summary

Harvey Nash in Illinois is seeking a Remote Control Systems Engineer (Embedded Software & System Integration) to blend hands-on embedded software development with cross‑functional system integration on real machines. This role spans software, hardware, controls, and communications networks to deliver production-ready remote control and autonomous systems.

You'll develop with Embedded C/C++, RTOS, and MATLAB/Simulink, validate CAN and Ethernet networks, and use CANoe/CANalyzer for integration

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Embedded C/C++ development experience.
• Experience with RTOS-based embedded systems.
• CAN Bus and Ethernet communications experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software using Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Integrate and validate remote control systems across software, hardware, and networks
• Troubleshoot and debug CAN and Ethernet communications
• Utilize CANoe, CANalyzer, and other engineering tools for system integration and validation
• Gather and manage requirements while supporting end-to-end traceability
• Perform testing, verification, validation, and root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready solutions
