Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle seeks a software development manager to lead the data ingestion and fraud prevention initiatives. You will guide real-time intelligence pipelines and a graph-based model to surface fraud signals, working with Applied Scientists.

This role emphasizes scalable systems, on-call readiness, and a multi-year technical strategy to keep AWS safe and performant.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex systems.
7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
8+ years leading the development of multi-tier web services.
Knowledge of software/hardware/networks development life cycle and best practices.
Experience partnering with product management teams.

Responsibilities

Own and operate a large-scale data ingestion platform processing 18+ billion events per day.
Lead real-time intelligence pipelines using Apache Flink for aggregation and anomaly detection.
Develop a graph database of millions of nodes and edges for account relationships.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of platform services, including APIs at 4,500+ TPS.
