Job summary

Amazon is seeking an engineering leader to drive ML-enabled pricing and service design for the Amazon Flex platform in Austin, TX. You will oversee the development of multi-tier web services, mentor engineers, and partner with product, research, and finance teams to optimize offers and scale the system.

You’ll own the team roadmap, push for quality improvements, and guide hiring to build a high-performing group under a high technical bar.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
