Job summary

Axos Bank is seeking a Software Development Manager, AVP to lead engineering for the Core Services platform, owning end-to-end design, development, delivery, and production stability across multiple backend services. The role requires hands-on leadership in .NET and distributed systems and may involve OutSystems as the team grows its low-code capabilities.

The role is on-site nationwide, with a starting pay range of $110,000–$140,000 per year, plus a 10% discretionary cash bonus and a 10%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong .NET backend, APIs, and distributed systems expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead Senior Engineers, Tech Leads, and offshore developers.
• Own end-to-end delivery of Core Services platforms (Identity, Rules Manager, Document, Notification, APIs).
• Drive code quality, performance, scalability, and security.
• Ensure production stability and rapid incident resolution with RCA involvement.
• Partner with Product Owners for clear requirements and commitments.
• Enforce release governance and QE approvals.
• Lead architecture and modernization initiatives including service isolation and caching.
• Champion OutSystems-based development and integration with .NET services.
