Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

Job Description:

This role is suitable for someone with over 6 years of experience as a software engineer, who has transitioned into management for the past 3-5 years. The candidate should be able to participate in Scrum meetings with technical understanding but not actively code. The software development team is based in the US, paired with offshore teams. You will lead and develop teams on high-efficiency technical projects, mentor staff, and ensure product reliability, especially for government clients, with a focus on continuous innovation.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of management experience in software development for customer-facing products.
• 6+ years of prior experience as a software developer.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality, secure software solutions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and promoting Agile practices.
• Knowledge of cloud computing, scalable architectures, and modern software technologies.
• Experience with AI or Machine Learning features.
• Experience migrating legacy software to newer platforms.
• Experience managing US-based and offshore technical teams.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred / Bonus Skills:

• Experience with segmented networks and government environments (DOD, DOE, DLA).
• Self-driven, proactive, with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams.
