Job summary

LPU Batangas in California is seeking an undergraduate or master's student to design and test core functionalities of the Network Operating System powering data center networks. You will explore networking, monitoring, and telemetry technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and availability of the data center infrastructure.

You should be pursuing CS/CE, know Python/Go/Rust, MySQL/Redis/Kafka, and basic TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s in CS/CE or related field.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures; proficient in Python, Go, or Rust.
• Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, Kafka.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and network devices.
• Interest in network automation and fault prediction.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork (preferred).

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Design and test core functionalities of the Network Operating System (NOS) that powers data center networks
• Research and implement new networking, monitoring, and telemetry technologies to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and availability of data center infrastructure

About You

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures; proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Rust
• Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, and Kafka for database management, caching, and distributed messaging
• Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Strong interest in network automation, fault prediction, and network management
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (preferred)
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, innovative environment (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate of $45
