Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC is seeking an intern to design and test core functionalities of our Network Operating System powering data center networks. You will contribute to building reliable networking software and participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.

You will research and implement new networking, monitoring, and telemetry technologies aimed at improving efficiency, reliability, and availability of our data center infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in CS/CE.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Proficient in Python, Go or Rust.
• Familiar with MySQL, Redis, Kafka.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF.
• Interest in network automation and management.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork (preferred).
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment (preferred).

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Design and test core functionalities of the Network Operating System (NOS) that powers data center networks
• Research and implement new networking, monitoring, and telemetry technologies to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and availability of data center infrastructure

About You

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures; proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Rust
• Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, and Kafka for database management, caching, and distributed messaging
• Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Strong interest in network automation, fault prediction, and network management
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (preferred)
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, innovative environment (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate of $45
