Stfrancis is offering an internship to design, develop, and debug C applications running on multi-core Linux systems. You will process large amounts of high-throughput, low-latency network data and contribute to advanced high-performance computing and electronic trading technologies.

The role requires pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with sophomore standing or higher, strong courses in systems and networks, and a 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/MS in Computer Engineering, CS or related field with sophomore standing or higher.
• Courses in Data Structures & Algorithms, Operating Systems, Machine Structure & Assembly Language, Performance Engineering, or Networks & Protocols.
• At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience in internship or academic setting showing strong engineering skills.
• Ability to read and write C code; familiarity with Linux Bash/Shell.
• Experience developing Python or Java applications.

Your Role

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

• Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with Sophomore standing or higher.
• Successful completion of courses related to Data Structures & Algorithms, Operating Systems, Machine Structure & Assembly-Language, Performance Engineering, and/or Networks & Protocols.
• At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Relevant programming experience in an internship or academic environment demonstrating strong engineering skills.
• Ability to read and write C code.
• Familiarity with Linux Bash/Shell environment.
• Experience developing Python or Java applications.
• Strong technical skills and interest in expanding coding knowledge.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.

Preferred qualifications include a desire to work with low-level technologies and familiarity with network socket programming and TCP.

Compensation & Benefits

• Anticipated hourly rate of $42.00/hour, subject to candidate experience and qualifications.
