Zusammenfassung

NWU is seeking an intern to design and test core functionalities of its Network Operating System that powers data center networks. You will research and implement cutting-edge networking, monitoring, and telemetry technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and availability of data center infrastructure.

The role targets students pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in CS or CE, with strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures and programming in Python, Go, or Rust.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing Undergraduate or Master's degree in CS, CE, or related field.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures; proficient in Python/Go/Rust.
• Familiarity with MySQL, Redis and Kafka for database management and messaging.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and network devices.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Design and test core functionalities of the Network Operating System (NOS) that powers data center networks
• Research and implement new networking, monitoring, and telemetry technologies to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and availability of data center infrastructure

About You

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures; proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Rust
• Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, and Kafka for database management, caching, and distributed messaging
• Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Strong interest in network automation, fault prediction, and network management
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (preferred)
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, innovative environment (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate of $45
• Day one access to health insurance, life insurance, and wellbeing benefits

• Paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 hours if hired in second half)
