Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior SDET to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for frontend, backend, and API-driven systems. You will build comprehensive test suites and partner with developers, product managers, and platform engineers to embed quality throughout the SDLC.

The role focuses on wealth management, brokerage, and financial services workflows, including regulatory compliance and production readiness.

Qualifications

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or test automation roles
• Hands-on individual contributor experience embedded within engineering teams
• Ability to design and implement automated testing solutions for complex systems
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
• Exposure to wealth management, brokerage, or financial services systems strongly preferred
• Familiarity with account and portfolio lifecycle events, trading and order management processes, and operational servicing and exception handling
• Understanding of role-based entitlements, data accuracy, auditability, and controls
• Experience supporting systems subject to regulatory oversight such as SEC and FINRA is a plus
• Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Experience testing API-based and microservices architectures, including integration and contract testing
• Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, or other backend/frontend languages used for test development
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of performance, resiliency, and negative path testing concepts
• Strong understanding of testing best practices, quality metrics, and defect management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered
