Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a QA professional to join a team delivering enterprise applications in a fast-paced environment. You will design and execute manual and automated tests, build comprehensive test cases, and drive quality across SDLC-aligned projects.

You will review requirements, participate in sprint planning, and collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure robust test coverage and timely release validation.

Job description

• Perform hands-on manual and automated testing across multiple enterprise applications
• Develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and automated test scripts based on business and technical requirements
• Review requirements, user stories, specifications, technical documentation, and design documents to identify testing needs
• Participate in requirements walkthroughs, sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and design reviews
• Estimate testing effort and provide input to project planning and release schedules
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using approved frameworks
• Validate interfaces and integrations between enterprise applications and external systems
• Perform backend database validation using SQL queries
• Execute API and web service testing using industry-standard tools
• Document test results and communicate testing progress to project leadership
• Identify, document, prioritize, and manage software defects through resolution
• Participate in defect triage and validate software fixes
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and executed tests through the RTM
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects, project managers, vendors, and State stakeholders
• Support production implementations through release validation and post-production verification
• Improve QA standards, automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality practices
• Mentor junior testers and share testing and automation knowledge when appropriate

Requirements

• Five (5) or more years of Quality Assurance experience testing large enterprise applications
• Strong experience with manual and automation testing
• Experience throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and best practices
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams
• Ability to convert business requirements into detailed test scenarios and test cases
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking and Agile project management
• Experience with Selenium, TestNG, Java, Salesforce application testing, REST API testing, SOAP web services, Postman, SQL, mobile application testing, PWA, JSON/XML validation, and CI/CD concepts
• Understanding of API and web service testing, test automation frameworks, defect lifecycle management, RTM, test planning, test strategy, and test estimation
• Hands-on experience with manual, automation, functional, regression, smoke, integration, SIT, end-to-end, UAT, API, backend data validation, cross-browser, mobile, and Salesforce testing
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
