Job summary

Amazon Leo Commerce seeks a Software Development Engineer to build telecom applications powering customer ordering, activation, and management of broadband subscriptions.

You will design components at the intersection of satellite networking and customer-facing services, participating in the full SDLC from requirements to operations. The role emphasizes scalable, reliable systems and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement telecom components, applications, and services for customer ordering, billing, subscriber management, and notifications.
• Partner with the Satellite, Networks, and Security engineering teams to integrate Customer Engagement Systems with the core network.
• Design scalable components, services, and data models that support high-reliability communications workloads.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including code reviews, testing, deployment, and operational support, ensuring root causes of issues are identified and permanently resolved.
• Document system architecture and mentor teammates on how your software is constructed, operated, and maintained.
