Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer II to own end-to-end design and delivery of large-scale AI-powered shopping experiences. You will collaborate with engineers and scientists to apply generative models that impact hundreds of millions of customers globally.

You will mentor engineers, define data enrichment pipelines, model optimization frameworks, and drive production-ready architectures balancing reliability, performance, and scalability across Amazon

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain services leveraging large language models and generative AI for shopping experiences at scale.
• Build and own distributed components powering end-to-end production selection pipelines.
• Develop understanding of catalog systems and influence their evolution to support next-gen offer processing.
• Collaborate with applied scientists to process massive datasets and scale ML models.
• Lead tech strategy by defining data enrichment pipelines and model optimization frameworks.
• Prototype new technologies and bring generative AI techniques into production.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the technical bar through code reviews.
