This hands-on, technical role is within our cybersecurity software engineering team, developing industry-leading technologies.

Description

Apple is looking for a talented individual to support and develop platform services that underpin critical information security capabilities. The ideal candidate is highly technical, proactive, and experienced with open-source software, with a strong drive for security and privacy. The role involves close collaboration with engineering and partner teams to ensure successful design, development, and delivery of products, emphasizing automation, scalability, and reliability across all stack layers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Deep understanding of operating system internals
• Extensive knowledge of modern CPU design, hardware platforms, and computer architecture
• Experience in kernel/firmware/driver development, preferably on UNIX-like kernels
• Proficiency in C and Assembly, ideally ARM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ARM architecture
• Strong debugging skills in kernel context
• Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals and experience with Darwin and MacOS profiling
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, Go, Swift, Objective-C, or Scala
• Knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL
• Experience with Apache Spark and Structured Streaming internals
• Excellent communication skills
