Job summary

Jobtailor in Lehi, Utah, seeks a senior software engineering lead to translate functional requirements into robust software using Java, Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript. You will guide a small team, mentor developers, and enforce CI/CD and DevSecOps within a cloud-based enterprise environment.

You will directly contribute code, write unit tests, review peers, and document technical decisions while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Four years of progressive and relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies and principles.
• Experience with n-tier enterprise systems, including modern web applications, user interfaces, APIs, and backend services.
• Strong engineering/programming, analytical/diagnostic/troubleshooting, web technology, and programming methodology skills.
• Solid understanding of systems and subsystems.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services.
• Thorough understanding of DevSecOps.
• Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles.
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, AI/ML capabilities, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), multimodal models, and document/image processing systems.
• Aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages.
• Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
• Ability to sit for long periods and use computer monitors/equipment.
• Preferred: experience with large-scale cloud-based distributed systems, high-volume data processing, AWS, AI-assisted system evaluation, and translating complex business rules into maintainable software systems
