Software Developer Systems Software

Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) has an opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented, hands-on Software Developer Systems Software. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting software development and sustainment services, systems engineering services, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) services for MPSs (to include JMPS, JOMS, and other future modernization solutions) that are used by Global Mobility and Special Mission aircraft platforms and associated DoD Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

Responsibilities

• Software Development and Optimization: Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for system integrations.
• Software Architecture and Design: Develop, document, and maintain software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
• Software Verification Support: Support the execution of software verification plans and test procedures to ensure software system requirements are satisfied.
• Modeling and Simulation for Verification: Develop software models and simulations to support software verification and demonstration.
• Full Lifecycle Technical Ownership: Perform technical planning, define high-level and detailed requirements, create and execute test plans (including use cases, procedures, and data), manage software systems integration, and provide technical support throughout the software system and subsystem lifecycle. This includes concept design, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal considerations.
• Apply Extensive Technical Expertise: Leverage comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of related disciplines in all activities.
• Develop Innovative Solutions: Create technical solutions to complex problems, regularly employing ingenuity and creativity.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 9 years related technical experience.
• Experience working with common software development and collaboration tools like Atlassian and GitLab.
• Strong understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) services and experience developing and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong understanding of and experience using Agile development methods and tools.
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience in Mission Systems or avionics software development and system integration.
• Experience with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), JMPS Open Mission Systems (JOMS), Joint Precision Air Drop System (JPADS), Consolidated Airdrop Tool (CAT).
• Experience with integration of airdrop delivery systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different technical backgrounds.
