Job description

As a Top-Secret Software Developer for this program, you will work in an organization dedicated to developing and operating software for critical national security enterprise applications. The organization utilizes SCRUM and SAFe Agile methodologies along with strong DevOps practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software.
2. Understand business applications, user needs, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements.
3. Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
4. Address customer complaints and implement suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
5. Design, test, and implement security lockdowns, integrate with standard software packages, automate deployment and updates, document processes, and provide training.

Additional Duties:

• Provide technical and management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
• Establish goals and plans to meet project objectives.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert with domain and technical expertise.
• Lead and supervise project requirements from inception to completion for complex programs.
• Offer strategic advice, technical guidance, and evaluations for improvements and optimization efforts.
• Consult with clients to define needs or problems, supervise data collection and analysis, and recommend solutions.
• Supervise team members as needed.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience with at least 10 years of related technical experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• In lieu of a degree, additional years of experience may be considered.

Preferred Skills:

• Front-end: JavaScript (ES6+), React, NextJS, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, RESTful principles, code quality practices.
• Backend: NodeJS, Express, NestJS, npm, Go, Java 8, SOAP, Maven, Gradle.
• Development Tools: Git, Jira, SAST tools like SonarQube, unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Chai.
• Business Analysis & Project Management: SAFe Agile, Jira, Confluence.

This position is contingent upon award and requires on-site work in Washington, DC at the customer facility.
