Job summary

RCT Systems in Chantilly, VA seeks a Software Developer (SME) for Systems Software to lead technical efforts supporting an enterprise IT model focused on talent, learning/training compliance, language development, recruiting, selection, and performance management.

The role requires strong Java and AWS experience, plus the ability to modernize and maintain web applications, APIs, and databases, while guiding UX/UI improvements and O&M costs.

Qualifications

• Experience modernizing and maintaining web apps, APIs, databases and services.
• Knowledge of full system accreditation lifecycle and IT service management.

Responsibilities

• Manage Tier 1-3 IT support through service-management systems.
• Oversee patching, upgrades, and license renewals.
• Develop IT documentation: SOPs, workflows, diagrams, security plans.

Software Developer (SME) [Systems Software] - $225K - $250K

• Chantilly, VA

Lead technical efforts supporting an enterprise IT model focused on talent, learning/training compliance, foreign-language development, recruiting, selection, and performance management.

Key Requirements

• Lead a technical team and communicate directly with the Sponsor.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Strong Java development experience.
• Hands-on AWS/cloud development and environment management.
• Experience modernizing and maintaining web applications, systems, APIs, databases, and services.
• Ability to recommend solutions that improve UX/UI, delivery speed, quality, modernization, and O&M costs.
• Experience with COTS products, especially ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of the full system accreditation lifecycle.
• Experience managing Tier 1-3 IT support through service-management systems.
• Develop IT documentation such as SOPs, workflows, knowledge bases, deployment checklists, architecture diagrams, security plans, and administrative procedures.
• Manage enterprise software lifecycle activities, including patching, upgrades, and license renewals.
• Experience applying Agile methodology and accessibility standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with the Sponsor and partner IT organizations.
• Learning-management applications.
• Language, compliance, and performance-management applications.
• Networking and platform-hosting technologies.
