Job summary

RCT Systems seeks a Senior Software Engineer to support a large 200+ person program focused on entitlement, IdAM/ICAM, authentication/authorization, attributes, and digital policy management in Reston, VA. You will modernize legacy apps, build RESTful services, and develop ETL solutions while leveraging AWS and Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities include testing, code reviews, automation with Selenium, and mentoring junior developers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree plus 16+ years relevant experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, Angular/TypeScript, and AWS skills.
• Experience developing custom ETL solutions and translating requirements into technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize legacy applications.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot and Angular/TypeScript.
• Build and consume REST APIs.
• Work with AWS/EC2 and write deployment/configuration scripts.
• Develop custom ETL solutions.
• Use Elasticsearch for data access and search.
• Perform unit testing, peer reviews, and automated testing with Selenium.
• Work with Git, Jenkins, Rundeck, and Red Hat Linux command line.
• Follow Agile/Scrum processes.
• Document solutions and mentor junior developers.

• Reston, VA

Senior Software Engineer supporting a large (200+ FTE) technical program focused on entitlement programs, Identity & Access Management (IdAM/ICAM), authentication/authorization, attributes, and digital policy management.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain and modernize legacy applications
• Develop Java/Spring Boot and Angular/TypeScript
• Build and consume REST APIs
• Work with AWS/EC2 and write deployment/configuration scripts
• Develop custom ETL solutions
• Use Elasticsearch
• Perform unit testing, peer reviews, and automated testing with Selenium
• Work with Git, Jenkins, Rundeck, and Red Hat Linux command line
• Follow Agile/Scrum
• Document solutions and mentor junior developers

Required Qualifications:

• TS/SCI + Polygraph
