Job summary

First Tek, Inc. seeks a Software Developer / Programmer 3 for a remote, 12-month contract with a United States federal government agency. The position requires deep expertise in C#, ASP.NET, WPF/WCF, RESTful services, and mature experience with SQL Server/Oracle databases.

You will work from home within BPA's service territory and support secure applications for federal needs. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in IT (or related field) with 5 years of relevant work experience; or 7 years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in IT or related field is preferred.
• 5 years of experience with secure .NET-based design and development with C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JS frameworks and Web Services.
• 7 years of experience without a degree or with applicable degree; 3 years in configuration management and 3 years in unit-testing scenarios.
• Experience building secure applications using WPF or WCF and designing RESTful services.

Pay Rate: $77/hr on w2

Remote Work Eligible - Must live in BPA's service territory of WA, OR, ID, MT. Official Duty Station is the home address.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Corresponding Experience (required on matrix):

• A Bachelor's, Master's, or Post-Graduate degree in Computer/Information Technology (or directly related field) is preferred.
• 5 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
• 7 years of experience is required without a degree or an applicable degree.
• Experience should include work in the Computer/Information Technology field.

Required Technical Skills & Experience (required on matrix)

• 5 years of experience with application design & development experience, developing secure applications using the .NET framework, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JS Frameworks, and Web Services.
• 5 years of experience with application design & development experience, developing secure applications using WPF or WCF.
• Expert level knowledge and skill in the following:
• Visual Studio (2019 or greater);
• Microsoft .NET (6 or greater);
• C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, CSS, and HTML;
• Microsoft SQL Server (2008 or greater) and/or Oracle (9i or greater);
• T-SQL and/or PL/SQL;
• TFS, GIT or other source control tool;React, Angular, or other front end JavaScript framework
• Designing and implementing RESTful services
• Knowledge of Active Directory and developing and applying role-based security models.
• 3 years of experience integrating configuration management methodologies and techniques, including branching and merging.
• 3 years of experience developing unit-testing scenarios to exercise a .NET Framework application to simulate environmental failures and code failures.
