Job summary

Freedom First Credit Union is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and support software solutions across enterprise systems. The role includes mentoring junior developers, contributing to system design, and improving development processes within the Information Technology team.

The candidate will collaborate with leadership on technical approaches, maintain code quality, and ensure compliance with security and deployment standards.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of enterprise software development experience.
• Two-year college degree or equivalent training.
• Must be analytical, detail oriented, and able to test and troubleshoot code.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions with moderate complexity.
• Collaborate with leadership to define technical approaches and ensure architectural alignment.
• Provide technical guidance through code reviews, solution recommendations, troubleshooting assistance, and documentation to promote adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Maintain and enforce development standards, security practices, and version control processes.
• Create and maintain procedural documentation (coding standards, deployment processes, etc.).
• Apply AI, automation, and productivity tools to improve software solutions, development efficiency, and operational outcomes.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of cloud-hosted and SaaS application environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues across systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
