Job Title: Software Developer III

Come Join Us: Vernovis is looking for a Senior Software Developer III who will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting a broad portfolio of business applications that serve our clients’ associates across their organization. This is a hands‑on full‑stack development position focused on building modern solutions, creating and maintaining system integrations, and partnering with business stakeholders to implement application enhancements that improve business processes. You will work closely with other corporate teams to gather requirements, test solutions, and support ongoing application modernization efforts. The team is a small, highly collaborative application development group responsible for supporting numerous in‑house and vendor‑supported applications across multiple business functions. Team members wear multiple hats, work directly with business partners, and contribute to both new development initiatives and ongoing application support in a fast‑paced, highly visible environment.

What You'll Do:

• Research, design, define, develop, test, document and implement new computer applications or changes to existing applications following our clients’ standards.
• Install software packages and/or personal computer software.
• Assure that hardware and software operate efficiently.
• Utilize programming tools effectively to ensure accuracy and enhance productivity.
• Assemble and analyze data relating to processing problems, soliciting help as needed from IT and business unit associates.
• Consult and/or advise business unit associates by written and/or oral communication on inquiries concerning existing or proposed systems.
• Participate and contribute in committee meetings on developmental projects, large‑scale improvement projects and internal IT technical committees.
• Provide training to other programming staff or business unit associates on technical topics or systems definition.
• Handle several assignments with varying deadlines simultaneously.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Have:

• Strong full‑stack development experience with C#, .NET 8, Visual Studio, and modern web application frameworks.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core, LINQ, SQL Server, and/or Oracle databases.
• Ability to develop and consume REST APIs and support service‑based architecture/design patterns.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices, ideally including TFS.
• Strong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and attention to detail when working with business partners and vendors.
• Proven programming experience (e.g., research, design, gathering requirements, working with business units, developing programs, testing, documentation, production support). Cite examples demonstrating this experience.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, including experience identifying, defining and quantifying problems; collecting or interpreting data, establishing facts, and providing effective solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to document procedures and activities in a manner that is understandable to others and prepared using a prescribed format, demonstrating use of the English language to include exemplary knowledge, in verbal and written format, of the elements of grammar, punctuation, diction and spelling proficiency.
• Ability to work on several deadlines with moderate supervision.
• Continually performs an activity such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
• Proficiency in specific programming languages required by the individual business unit.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Bachelor's Degree Or commensurate selection criteria experience.
