Job description

Please note: This is an on-site position based at our headquarters in Strängnäs, Sweden. The role requires regular office presence. Please apply only if you are able to work on-site in Strängnäs.

SPM Instrument in Strängnäs develops, manufactures, markets and sells advanced equipment for condition monitoring of machinery. As one of the leading players in our field, we are present in some sixty export markets around the world. With a stronger product portfolio than ever and customers in a wide range of industries worldwide, we are in a phase of expansion. Together with our subsidiaries and distributors, we are working with a strong focus on intensified marketing and increased sales of our unique products.

Our R&D department develops software and measuring instruments for shock pulse and vibration measurement on industrial machines. We now need to strengthen the team with another talented software developer who, like us, is passionate about technology, development and creating world‑class products.

We constantly strive to improve and further develop our systems with new smart and innovative features to meet our customers’ needs, simplify their everyday lives and, not least, ensure that their machines and manufacturing processes function optimally.

An important component is our analysis software Condmaster Ruby with the associated backend solution Condmaster Entity Server – both with a lot of code written in Delphi – for which we are now looking for another talented and experienced software developer.

Your responsibilities

As a software developer with us, you will mainly work with programming, but some specification and design work may also be included. You will participate in projects that allow you to be creative and take on exciting technical challenges. The work is carried out in various teams and in close collaboration with experienced colleagues in software, electronics, hardware and measurement methods.

In your role, you can also expect to have many contacts with our subsidiaries and distributors in different parts of the world – what you develop will be used by some of the world's largest companies and industries.

Development takes place using modern, powerful tools and programmes that you yourself help choose – we are engineers who love technology.

Your background

We are looking for someone who:

  • wants to develop modern software for use in industry
  • is a driven and curious programmer with several years of experience in Windows development in Delphi, but also, for example, C#, Java or C++ can be a suitable background
  • have worked with database storage in, for example, SQL Server.

The role can be adapted to some extent, for example, to focus more on backend, frontend, embedded and/or web, which is why your background may differ from the above.

Our group language is English, so you need to be fluent in both spoken and written English.

As parts of our software are written in Delphi, knowledge of Delphi is an advantage. In addition, experience of multithreaded programming, various forms of data communication, advanced mathematical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Azure are advantageous.

Personal qualities we value include self‑motivation, accuracy and analytical skills. You enjoy challenges, are a creative problem solver with a high level of commitment and are attracted to working in an international environment. You are sociable, take responsibility for your own work, and are a good team player who enjoys sharing your knowledge.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We review applications on an ongoing basis and will fill the position once we have found the right candidate. Please send your application, including CV and cover letter, tokarriar@spminstrument.se no later than 31 March 2026.

If you have any questions about the position, please contact Johan Nilsson by email at johan.nilsson@spminstrument.se or by telephone on +46 152-225 00.
