Job summary

Immunocore is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop and support data-driven software across scientific and operational workflows. You will build production-quality applications using Python/Django and/or JavaScript/React, maintain data pipelines, and collaborate with scientists and engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will contribute to testing, deployment and ongoing support, while aligning with security and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, bioinformatics or a related discipline.
• Experience in building web applications with Python/Django or JavaScript/React.
• Strong SQL and relational database design understanding.
• Experience with Git-based collaboration and code review workflows.
• Ability to write clear automated tests and maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-quality software for Immunocore systems using Python/Django and/or JavaScript/React.
• Maintain bioinformatic analysis pipelines for efficient data processing.
• Develop automated test suites to ensure software quality.
• Gather and document requirements with scientific and operational teams.
• Design database schemas and data models, implement data migrations.
• Contribute to CI/CD and deployment practices for reliability.
