Job summary

BioSpace seeks a software engineer to develop and maintain backend systems, data pipelines, and UI for wet-lab and computational discovery platforms. You will work on internal apps and integrations with ELN/LIMS systems.

Collaborate with scientists to connect informatics via APIs and databases, and contribute tests, documentation, and code reviews. Strong Python and PyData skills, Linux, AWS, and API design knowledge are required; TypeScript UI frameworks are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Python and PyData skills; Linux proficiency.
• Familiar with AWS, database experience, API design; production-grade code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems, data pipelines, and UI for wet-lab and computational discovery platforms, including internal applications and integrations with ELN/LIMS systems.
• Collaborate with scientists to connect informatics systems through APIs and databases, and contribute tests, documentation, and code reviews across the company’s software codebase.
